These 3d artworks were inspired by Lebbeus Woods’ drawings portraying organic earthquake-resistant mega-structures built in San Francisco. For this I created 3d models built of dismembered plane, submarine and building parts. I thought the structures would fit in a post-apocalyptic steampunk environment, so I tried to keep the rest of the elements in the images consistent with this concept. In creating the compositions I used an extended golden rectangle.
The architect's original drawings were published in his pamphlet, 'Radical Reconstruction.'
